Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") applies to everyone who accesses or uses the LanePilot Technology, LLC ("LanePilot," "we," "us," or "our") platform at LanePilotTech.com (the "Service"), however they access it. This includes the organization that holds the account, every authorized user acting under it, including dock users with check-in-only logins, and anyone using the Service through an account whether or not they created it.

This Policy applies to every plan and product, including the free plan, Shipper, Professional, Professional+, Command, LanePilot Warehouse, dock user seats, and the Pause retention tier.

This Policy is part of LanePilot's Terms of Service. By using the Service you agree to follow it. The organization is responsible for making sure everyone who uses the Service under its account follows this Policy.

You may not use the Service to do any of the following. These are examples, not a complete list.

• Submit false or manipulated data. Do not enter, upload, or transmit freight, shipment, rate, carrier, receiving, vendor, or inventory data that you know to be false, altered, or manipulated. This includes falsified receiving records, packing slips, damage findings, and inventory counts.
• Access another organization's or user's data without permission. Do not attempt to view, access, copy, or modify data belonging to another organization or user unless you are authorized to do so.
• Connect credentials you are not authorized to use. Do not connect carrier account credentials that you do not hold or are not permitted to use on the account holder's behalf.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or extract the Service. Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service, or use automated tools to extract its underlying data, rate intelligence, algorithms, scoring methodology, benchmark data, or source code.
• Manipulate carrier or vendor pricing, or circumvent agreements. Do not use the Service to distort or artificially influence pricing, or to circumvent, breach, or interfere with any agreement between you and a carrier or vendor, or between LanePilot and a carrier.
• Misuse generated documents. Do not alter a dispute letter or vendor chargeback letter the Service produces so that it misstates the underlying facts, and do not present a generated document as having been issued, endorsed, or filed by LanePilot.
• Upload malware or compromise security. Do not upload harmful code, or probe, scan, or test the security of the Service, or attempt to breach any security or authentication measure, without our prior written permission.
• Use the Service for unlawful activity, fraud, or rights violations. This includes unlawful freight transactions, fraudulent claims or chargebacks against carriers or vendors, and any activity that violates a third party's rights or applicable law.
• Exceed fair-use limits. Do not run bulk or automated queries beyond the limits described in our documentation or your plan's published limits.
• Impersonate another person or entity. Do not misrepresent your identity, your affiliation with a company, or your authority to act on a company's behalf.
• Harass LanePilot staff or other users. Do not threaten, harass, abuse, or send unwanted repeated communications to our staff or to other users.

The organization is responsible for the accuracy of what its authorized users record in the Service, and for informing its personnel that it uses the Service and what the Service records about their activity, as set out in the Terms of Service.

The organization is also responsible for reviewing any document the Service generates before sending it. LanePilot generates documents. You send them. LanePilot does not contact, negotiate with, or file anything with the carrier on your behalf, and does not act as your agent toward any carrier or vendor. LanePilot does transmit the technical requests needed to quote, book, and track the shipments you initiate, which is a different activity from representing you in a dispute.

The Service uses artificial intelligence to read documents, produce findings, draft correspondence, and answer support questions. When you use these features you agree that you will not use AI output to generate deceptive, fraudulent, or misleading content; present AI output to a third party as a guaranteed fact, an official carrier or vendor determination, or verified data without independent confirmation; or use AI features for any purpose prohibited by our AI provider's acceptable use policy, including generating deceptive content, content that infringes third-party rights, or automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on individuals without appropriate human review.

AI output is a tool to assist your work. It is not a substitute for your judgment or for checking against source documents. It is not legal advice and does not assert a legal basis on your behalf. Our AI Terms describe this in full.

LanePilot does not use your submitted content to train or fine-tune any AI model.

LanePilot applies the following controls to commercial email. Every commercial email we send, or that is sent through the Service, includes a valid physical postal address, a clear and conspicuous way to opt out of future commercial email, accurate header, routing, and sender information, and a subject line that accurately reflects the content of the message. We honor every opt-out request within 10 business days and permanently, unless you later ask to be re-added.

Where we use AI to help draft commercial email, we either disclose that AI assisted or have a person review the message before it is sent. We do not permit AI-drafted commercial email to be sent automatically under an individual's name without one of those safeguards.

If you send commercial email through any feature of the Service, you agree to meet the same standard. You may not send commercial email to addresses obtained by harvesting or other automated collection in violation of applicable law or a provider's terms, and you may not send any message that impersonates a named individual, employee, or customer or that misrepresents who is sending it. Responsibility for a commercial message remains with the sender on whose behalf it is sent.

If you believe someone has violated this Policy, tell us. Email [email protected] or use the in-app support channel. Include as much detail as you can, such as the account or user involved, the date, and what happened. We review every report we receive.

We may investigate any suspected violation. If we find a violation, we may remove or disable access to the content involved, suspend the account, terminate the account, or report unlawful activity to law enforcement and pursue legal remedies.

For serious violations, including suspected fraud, security threats, or unlawful activity, we may suspend or terminate immediately without advance notice. For less serious violations we will generally give notice and an opportunity to correct the issue first, consistent with the Term and Termination section of the Terms of Service.

If we suspend an account immediately, we will state the reason and give an opportunity to respond. You may appeal by emailing [email protected] within 10 business days of the suspension notice, and we will review and respond within a reasonable time.

We may update this Policy. If we make a material change we will give at least 30 days' notice before it takes effect, using the notice methods described in the Terms of Service. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Policy.

This Policy is incorporated by reference into, and forms part of, LanePilot's Terms of Service. The Acceptable Use section of the Terms of Service summarizes this Policy. If there is a conflict, the more specific provision controls.
