Acceptable Use Policy

LanePilot Technologies LLC · Version 1.0 · Effective June 30, 2026
Governing Law: Pennsylvania

1Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") applies to everyone who accesses or uses the LanePilot Technologies LLC ("LanePilot," "we," "us," or "our") platform at LanePilotTech.com (the "Service"), regardless of how they access it. This includes registered account holders, individuals using the Service under a team or company account, and anyone who accesses the Service through an account, whether or not they created that account.

This Policy applies to all subscription tiers, including Shipper, Professional, Professional+, Command, and the Pause retention tier, and to beta access.

This Policy is part of LanePilot's Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to follow this Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm that your company also agrees to follow this Policy, and you are responsible for making sure everyone who uses the Service under your account follows it too.

2Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the Service to do any of the following. This list gives examples. It is not a complete list of everything that is prohibited.

  • Submit false or manipulated freight data. Do not enter, upload, or transmit freight data, shipment data, rate data, or carrier data that you know is false, altered, or manipulated.
  • Access another user's data or account without permission. Do not attempt to view, access, copy, or modify another user's Shipment Data, account information, or other content unless you are authorized to do so.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or extract the Service. Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service. Do not scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract the Service's underlying data, rate intelligence, algorithms, scoring methodology, or source code.
  • Manipulate carrier pricing or circumvent carrier agreements. Do not use the Service to manipulate, distort, or artificially influence carrier pricing, or to circumvent, breach, or interfere with any agreement between a user and a carrier or between LanePilot and a carrier.
  • Upload malware or compromise security. Do not upload viruses, malware, ransomware, or other harmful code. Do not attempt to probe, scan, or test the security of the Service, or attempt to breach any security or authentication measure, without LanePilot's prior written permission.
  • Use the Service for unlawful freight activity, fraud, or rights violations. Do not use the Service to engage in unlawful freight transactions, fraud, or any activity that violates a carrier's rights, a third party's rights, or applicable law.
  • Exceed fair-use query limits. Do not run bulk or automated queries against the Service beyond the fair-use limits described in LanePilot's then-current documentation or your subscription tier's published limits.
  • Impersonate another person or entity. Do not misrepresent your identity, your affiliation with a company, or your authority to act on a company's behalf.
  • Harass LanePilot staff or other users. Do not threaten, harass, abuse, or send unwanted repeated communications to LanePilot staff or other users of the Service.

3Acceptable Use of AI Features

LanePilot's platform uses Anthropic, PBC's Claude API to support certain features, such as parsing freight queries, reading uploaded bills of lading and invoices, and processing free-text communications you submit through the Service ("AI Outputs"). When you use these AI features, you agree that you will not:

  • Use AI Outputs to generate deceptive, fraudulent, or misleading content;
  • Present AI Outputs to third parties as guaranteed facts, official carrier determinations, or verified data, without independent confirmation. AI Outputs are tools to assist your work. They are not a substitute for your own judgment or for verification against source documents; or
  • Use the Service's AI features for any purpose that Anthropic's Acceptable Use Policy prohibits, including but not limited to generating content that is deceptive, that infringes third-party rights, or that is used to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on individuals without appropriate human review.

LanePilot does not use your submitted content to train or fine-tune any AI model.

LanePilot also uses the Claude API internally, separate from the platform features above, to support business operations such as drafting outbound sales outreach, classifying email reply sentiment, analyzing customer call transcripts, and generating marketing content. This internal use does not involve your Shipment Data or uploaded documents. Full detail on this use, and on the personal data it may involve, is in LanePilot's Privacy Policy.

4Commercial Communications Standard

LanePilot designed its commercial email practices to comply with the CAN-SPAM Act. This standard applies to any commercial email sent through the Service or sent by LanePilot in connection with the Service, including sales and business-development outreach.

Every commercial email LanePilot sends, or that is sent through the Service, must include:

  • A valid physical postal address for LanePilot or the sender;
  • A clear and conspicuous way to opt out of future commercial emails; and
  • Truthful, non-deceptive subject lines and sender information.

LanePilot will honor every opt-out request within 10 business days, and that opt-out will remain in effect permanently unless you later ask to be re-added.

Where LanePilot uses AI to help draft commercial emails, LanePilot will either disclose the AI's involvement in the email or have a human review the email before it is sent. LanePilot does not permit AI-drafted commercial emails to be sent automatically, under any individual's name, without one of these two safeguards.

If you are a user who sends commercial emails through any feature of the Service, you agree to meet this same standard.

5Reporting Violations

If you believe someone has violated this Policy, please tell LanePilot right away. You can report a suspected violation by:

  • Emailing [email protected]; or
  • Contacting LanePilot's support channel through the Service.

Please include as much detail as you can, such as the account or user involved, the date, and a description of what happened. LanePilot will review every report it receives.

6Enforcement

LanePilot may investigate any suspected violation of this Policy. If LanePilot finds that you violated this Policy, LanePilot may take action, including:

  • Removing or disabling access to the content involved;
  • Suspending your account;
  • Terminating your account; and
  • Reporting unlawful activity to law enforcement or pursuing legal remedies.

For serious violations, including suspected fraud, security threats, or unlawful activity, LanePilot may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without advance notice. For less serious violations, LanePilot will generally provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue first, consistent with the Term & Termination section of LanePilot's Terms of Service.

If LanePilot suspends your account immediately under this Section, LanePilot will tell you the reason for the suspension and give you a chance to respond. You may appeal the suspension by emailing [email protected] within 10 business days of the suspension notice. LanePilot will review your appeal and respond within a reasonable time.

7Changes to this Policy

LanePilot may update this Policy from time to time. If LanePilot makes a material change, LanePilot will give you at least 30 days' notice before the change takes effect, using the same notice methods described in the Terms of Service (such as email to your account address or a notice posted on the Service). If you continue to use the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Policy.

8Relationship to Terms of Service

This Policy is incorporated by reference into, and forms part of, LanePilot's Terms of Service. The Terms of Service's Acceptable Use section summarizes this Policy. If there is a conflict between this Policy and the Terms of Service, the more specific provision controls.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to this Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into and forms part of the LanePilot Terms of Service.
